Cruisin' The Line
Surfing Our Body's Energy
To "surf" the energy of the body—
especially when amplified by the
"wisdom ingredients" WE are exploring—
is to master OUR fundamental law:
Stability through Lightness.
think of it as SurFinG
In surfing, you cannot control the ocean
(the energy/sensation).
You can only
Controll your connection to the board
(the physical body).
Here is the technical guide to Surfing the Body's Energy,
moving from the "Instruction" of the mind to the "Sensation" of bodyCare.
Phase 1: The Drop-In (Recognition)
The moment the energy rises and the mind labels it "Scary."
When the wave of sensation hits (whether from the "Cereal Milk" or pure emotion), the biological instinct is to freeze or fight. This is "hardening."
••• The Error: Trying to stop the wave. The mind says, "This is too much, stop it."
••• The Correction: Re-label the sensation. As our bodyCare footnote we say: "It’s not ‘scary. We're practicing Grace."
••• The Action: Do not brace against the feeling. Acknowledge the swell. Say internally: "This is just volume. My system can hold this volume."
Phase 2: The Pop-Up (Establishing Stability)

You cannot surf without a board. Your body is the board.
To handle the "Lightness" (the high/energy) you must create immediate "Stability."
••• Find the Edges: Wiggle your toes. Press your heels into the floor (or the bed). You need to feel where you end and the world begins.
••• Lower the Center of Gravity: If you are standing, soften the knees. If you are lying down, drop the weight of your pelvis.
••• The Anchor: Deepen the breath into the lower belly. High energy tends to get stuck in the throat/chest (anxiety). Pull the energy down to the waistline. This turns "panic" into "power."
Phase 3: The Ride (Non-Intervention)
This is the core of bodyCare. Cruising the line.
Once you are stable, you stop "doing." You enter the state of "non-interveven".
••• Release the Steering Wheel: Stop trying to direct where the thought or feeling goes. Let the chemical or emotional wave move through your fascia like wind through a screen door.
••• Observe, Don't Analyze: If a visual or a heavy thought comes, watch it pass behind your eyelids. Do not grab it.
••• Trust the Buoyancy: Believe that your body is naturally buoyant. You do not need to hold yourself up. The "Grace" is trusting that if you relax, you will float, not sink.
Phase 4: The Wipeout (Recovery)
If the wave becomes too big and you 'lose touch' with "Grace."
Sometimes the energy is too strong and you feel like you are tumbling [overwhelm||alertness].
••• Don't Swim Against the Current: If you fight the turbulence, you exhaust your oxygen. Go limp.
••• Return to HEL VED: Touch something solid—a wooden table, a stone, the floor. Remind yourself: "I am whole wood. I am solid. This is just weather passing over the landscape."
The Golden Rule of Surfing:
You are not the wave (the energy). You are not the ocean (the source).
You are the surfer.
Your only job is to stay on the board (the body) and enjoy the ride.
