Starting our Journey of Contemplation together

As we begin listening to our body again, something subtle starts to change.

At first, listening feels like a practice.
Something you remember to do in quiet moments.

But over time, it becomes a way of being.

You begin to notice that the body is not only speaking in stillness —
it is speaking all the time.

Our Body Speaks in Micro-Movements

The body rarely shouts.
It whispers.

A slight tightening when something isn’t aligned.

A soft expansion when something is true.

A quiet fatigue that asks for less — not more.

A spark of aliveness that doesn’t need justification.

This is not intuition as a dramatic voice.
This is orientation.

Just like animals orient in nature,
your nervous system is constantly scanning for:

  • safety

  • resonance

  • capacity

  • truth

You don’t have to control this.
You only have to facilitate for not overriding it.

The Cost of Override

Most of us were trained — gently or harshly —
to move against the body.

To stay when the system said “enough.”
To push when the body said “pause.”
To explain away exhaustion, grief, longing, or joy.

Each override is small.

But over time, the body learns something painful:

“I’m not being listened to.”

When that happens, the signals don’t disappear.

They become stronger — or numb.

Neither is wrong.
Both are adaptations.

Rebuilding Trust with our Body

Trust with the body is rebuilt the same way trust is rebuilt in relationships:

  • through consistency

  • through honesty

  • through repair

You don’t need perfect listening.
You need willing listening.

You might say, inwardly:

  • “I hear you.”

  • “I don’t knoabandonthe next step is yet, but I feel you.”

  • “I won’t abandon this sensation.”

This alone begins to inform the system to settle.

Presence Is Not Calm — It Is Contact

This is important:

Presence does not mean being calm all the time.

Presence means being in contact with what is here.

Sometimes presence feels like softness.
Sometimes it feels like trembling.
Sometimes it feels like grief, heat, boredom, resistance, Joy..

our body doesn’t ask you to fix these states of energies.

It asks us to stay.

And staying — without forcing meaning — is profoundly regulating.

Capacity Grows by Respecting Limits

Here is a paradox the body knows well:

Capacity does not grow by pushing limits.

It grows by respecting them.

Each time you stop before collapse,
each time you rest before depletion,
each time you speak a truth before resentment —

our system learns safety.

And safety is what allows expansion.

Not effort.
Not discipline.
Safety.

A Small Invitation (For Now)

Let’s keep this simple.

Sometime today, pause for 20–30 seconds.

Ask the body one question only:

“What is true for you right now?”

Don’t look for words.

Notice sensations, impulses, temperature, breath, weight.

Then — and this matters —
do nothing with the answer.

Just acknowledge it.

This is how the conversation deepens.

Feeling what already is

Nourishing

You
