Trauma is conceptualized not merely as an event but can be seen as unsynchronized energy—movements that could not complete at the time of overwhelm.

In group settings, learners practice:

  • maintaining presence while encountering dysregulated states

  • differentiating between their own activation and group activation

  • using bodyCRAFT’s somatic cues—Anchor, Ray, Spiral, Sphere—to stabilize

  • allowing others’ activation to resolve without rescuing or withdrawing

This creates opportunities for corrective relational experiences, a key mechanism of trauma-informed learning.

Co-regulation becomes a shared competency, not a role-specific expectation.
